Designer’s Choice Florals

If you’re looking for a one-time floral arrangement delivery (check out our subscription option if you’d prefer monthly deliveries!), you’ve landed in the right spot. 

Designer’s Choice arrangements are a beautiful combination of the freshest flowers available, including local and semi-local flowers when available. Color and flower type are up to the sole discretion of our lead designer, Emma. 

We use sustainable floristry practices, and will not use foam in your designs. We feel strongly about keeping our earth and designers as healthy as possible; foam is a known carcinogen and is not biodegradable. We also try to use local flowers as much as possible to avoid the overuse of pesticides and chemicals on shipped florals. That said, our number one priority is creating beautiful designs, and we will source flowers to match. 

Other Details/FAQs:

• Can you offer day-of delivery? At this time, no. We need at least 3 days of lead time (not including weekends/holidays-wholesalers are closed on those days). We always strive to deliver your flowers on the date requested, but will reach out with confirmation. We typically deliver flowers on Thursday and Friday. For example, if you need flowers delivered on April 20th, you need to complete your order by the evening of April 16th. *If we have an event, we will let you know. Event weeks may affect delivery times/days.*
• Can I request a different color palette? Sorry, no substitutions. For custom orders, please email Emma separately with your request! Her contact is emma@bluedoorflower.com. Custom orders have a minimum one week lead time as we are a boutique studio and don’t have the capacity to hold flowers for lengthy times. 
• What color palette will my design be? Our offerings are always changing due to seasonal and market availability. From warm peachy tones to bright and bold to neutrals, offerings will change on a weekly basis. It’s part of the surprise and the ephemeral nature of our designs!
• Do you use foam? Full stop, no. It’s unsafe for humans, animals, and our environment. This is something we feel very strongly about, and we know you do too!
• What will my flowers be arranged in? We will typically use a neutral, white ceramic vessel. In some cases, we may use clear glass as well.
• How do I care for my flowers? Instructions will be provided with each delivery, but we suggest: replacing the water at least every other day, keeping your flowers out of the sun and away from heat sources and drafts, and trimming the ends of your stems at a 45 degree angle (cut about 1-2 cm) every few days. 
• What if my flowers die within 24 hours? In the extremely rare case that your flowers wilt or die within 24 hours, you must reach out in writing and provide pictures. We are unable to replace arrangements after 24 hours without payment and/or without images. Proper care will ensure they last longer! Certain flowers may die sooner than others; you can simply pull the old ones out and refresh the others.
